[Hiring] Subsidence Loss Adjuster @Gallagher

Role Description

Within the role of Subsidence Loss Adjuster, you will handle a wide range of commercial and domestic subsidence losses and be required to investigate, report upon and settle claims.

• Investigate, manage and report on a caseload of Property claims.
• Handle a full and varied caseload from cradle to grave, managing all aspects of subsidence claims, including:
  • Liaising with clients, policyholders, structural engineers, and surveyors.
  • Determination of policy cover, scope and quantum assessments.
  • Settlement negotiations and recovery pursual where required.
• Identify potential subsidence damage, understand the scope of any required site investigations, and interpret the associated results.
• Understand modern subsidence handling approaches and techniques, including the use of technology.
• Confidently discuss investigation results with structural engineers/surveyors and agree and challenge necessary mitigation/remediation measures.
• Handle a wide portfolio of claim handling including but not exclusively:
  • Property (Commercial & Domestic)
  • Real Estate
  • HNW
  • Public and Local Authorities
• Ensure that claims are handled properly, fairly and with integrity.
• Maintain high standards of communication with senior management, team members and principals to acquire information on significant claims trends.
• Attend claim meetings and travel as required.
• Participate in any claims auditing process.
• Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett.

Qualifications

• Experience of investigating and handling subsidence claims is essential.
• Cradle to grave claims handling.
• CILA and/or CII qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
• Clear, demonstrable understanding of the mechanics of subsidence, construction, mitigation, and liability.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build relationships with clients/carriers/brokers through active listening and close adherence to their priorities, style, and service instructions.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
