[Hiring] Student Engagement Manager @Juno

Role Description

Be the person students in your area actually know. You will build relationships with student organizations and chapter leadership across healthcare degrees, get Juno into the buildings, and have the conversations that turn a name in our system into a student who trusts us with the biggest financial decision of their life so far. This is not a desk job and it is not a sales job. It is a relationship job with a travel schedule.

What you'll do

• Build school level relationships with chapter presidents, student government leaders, and class representatives.
• Get into the buildings by booking and running vendor fairs and lunch and learns on campus.
• Work the conferences at district, regional, and national student organization meetings across the US.
• Support and recruit ambassadors by interviewing, onboarding, and backing up student ambassadors in your territory.
• Talk to students constantly through one-to-one meetings, mostly video, during peak season.
• Follow up faster than anyone expects to capitalize on the short window between a student meeting and a decision.
• Be the expert students trust by becoming fluent in how graduate borrowing works.
• Bring the field back in by providing insights on school tuition deadlines and competitor activity.

The shape of the year:

• September to February: outreach-led activities including chapter relationships and ambassador recruiting.
• March to August: meeting-led activities focusing on student conversations and follow-ups.
• Travel is roughly fifteen percent of the year, clustering in the fall and early winter.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in a relationship-driven role, or an outlier track record in campus programs, student organizations, field marketing, community building, admissions, or events.
• Ability to engage in real conversations about money with students.
• Experience with volume outreach and persistence in follow-ups.
• Comfortable building relationships with student organizations, chapter leadership, and ambassadors.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including weekends for conferences.
• Organized and able to manage multiple school relationships and event calendars independently.
