[Hiring] Sourcing Senior Specialist - Supplier Quality Engineering @Baker Hughes

Role Description

As a Global Front End Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to drive cross commodity and business oriented initiatives to streamline business processes and standards.
• Capturing of COQ (Cost of Quality) and VR (Vendor Recovery).
• Driving a supplier strategy governance to align expectations and capacity on qualification activities serving deflation projects and cost out activities.
• Managing Suppliers’ Scorecards and Suppliers’ Capability Matrix.
• Acting as a specialized escalation resource for critical, cross-plant supplier quality issues, providing flexible, on-demand leadership and applying advanced problem-solving methodologies to resolve high-impact supply disruptions.
• Driving improvement initiatives to top offender suppliers on a global scale to reduce the number of disturbances/nonconformances to BH facilities.
• Being the project leader of medium sized projects or a major contributor to bigger projects, with work goals typically taking 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact typically 2-12 months after the event.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (engineering degree as a matter of preference).
• At least 8-10 years of experience, with a minimum of 2-3 additional years covering Quality Roles (previous expertise in oil & gas/automotive business as a plus).
• Fluent English mandatory.
• Project Management experience.
• Experience with QA/QC tools and problem-solving techniques.
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time).
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Significant experience in one or more of the following industrial areas: raw material, machined parts, engineered systems.
• Data-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
