Role Description
As our Senior Supply Chain Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of our pharmaceutical logistics—overseeing everything from international import to in-country distribution. You'll lead key supply chain strategies, manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners, and ensure compliance with EU and global regulatory frameworks.
- Manage the end-to-end importation and distribution of medications across EU and non-EU countries.
- Design and implement scalable, cost-effective supply chain strategies that prioritize reliability, speed, and compliance.
- Ensure all supply chain activities meet EU pharmaceutical and customs regulations, including GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GMP standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies.
- Forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and mitigate potential disruptions to ensure consistent product availability.
- Collaborate with Operations and IT to streamline supply chain workflows using digital tools and data analytics.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Compliance, Product, and Pharmacy teams to support a smooth and compliant medication delivery experience for patients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management, logistics, or operational buying—preferably in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with EU import/export laws, customs procedures, GDP, and GMP.
- Experience in the medical cannabis sector is a significant plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong hands-on start-up mentality.
- Fluency in English is required; German on a conversational level.
