[Hiring] Senior Sourcing Staff Manager - Commodity Management @GE Aerospace

Role Description

Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

• Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
• Manage claims, including commercial sourcing management such as data analysis and negotiations support.
• May include purchasing activities.
• Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals.
• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline.
• May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area.
• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
• Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics.
• Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives.
• Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business.
• Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive experience in purchasing, materials management, or similar roles.
• 5+ years in a management role.

Requirements

• Strong experience in working with financial information as a means of decision making, pricing comparisons & benchmarking.
• Knowledge of information technologies and services including software licensing models for SaaS and AI models.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver and implement sourcing events.
• Drive to execute under extreme deadline pressures and with multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to present to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated project management skills to document, plan, and execute programs and identify and resolve roadblocks for execution.

• The base pay range for this position is $134,000-$144,000.
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
