[Hiring] Senior Sourcing Manager - Commodity Management @GE Aerospace

Role Description

The Sr. DT Sourcing Manager will be responsible for executing the sourcing strategy for the indirect DT commodities (HW, Software, IT Prof Services) for the GE Aerospace business. The candidate has in-depth knowledge of best practices and cross-functional dependencies. This role is for an Individual Contributor leading the HR Technology procurement for GE Aerospace.

• Lead challenging negotiations with the software industry and analyze complicated licensing models (like on-prem, subscriptions, hosted, and cloud).
• Negotiate agreements by executing enterprise license agreements for the use of software & professional services for application services within GE Aerospace globally.
• Create and deliver commercial, financial, and business objectives related to technology goods and services such as managed software services/cloud contracts.
• Lead sourcing processes in a matrixed environment including RFI/RFPs and single source negotiations or renegotiations.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for GE Aerospace regarding suppliers, pricing models & cost-out initiatives.
• Identify cost-out initiatives and influence stakeholders to implement them.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (stakeholder management) at the senior and C-level executives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships within the largest software companies and other vendors to drive negotiations.
• Liaise with Corporate and Business Unit sourcing teams on cross-company initiatives to set realistic but challenging operations goals and objectives.
• Develop sourcing plans to integrate Business needs into a global commodity team.
• Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts.
• Execute and support buying functions and requirements and participate in the buy desk activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 7 years of IT Sourcing experience.

Requirements

• Background with HR Technology suppliers highly desired.
• Background with Lean highly desired.
• Strong experience in working with financial information for decision making, pricing comparisons & benchmarking.
• Strong experience in leading complex sourcing programs including executing RFPs and targeted negotiations with major IT suppliers.
• Knowledge of information technologies and services including software licensing models for SaaS and AI models.
• Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver and implement sourcing events.
• Drive to execute under extreme deadline pressures and with multiple priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to present to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated project management skills to document, plan, and execute programs and identify and resolve roadblocks for execution.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a cross-cultural environment across different geographic areas.

• The base pay range for this position is $134,000 - $180,000.
• This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
