[Hiring] Senior Solutions Engineer @Akamai

Role Description

As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will build relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to our customers and deliver innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer.

• Growing revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer-facing role delivering technical products or services.
• Knowledge in Cloud and Internet technologies, including security solutions, compute, content delivery, and web architecture (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS).
• Interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer-focused mindset.
• A thirst for learning and embracing new technologies.
• A proven track record designing internet security solutions in public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment.
