[Hiring] Senior Security Engineer @GoodLeap

Role Description

As a Senior Product Security Engineer at GoodLeap, you’ll partner with product and engineering teams to ensure safety by default in our offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Adversarially testing AI and LLM-backed features, designing and running attacks against applications and agents.
• Building and operating production security services, including backend services and internal tooling.
• Finding new ways to automate work and prototyping solutions.
• Reviewing pull request vulnerability findings and triaging results.
• Threat modeling from product designs and reviewing PRDs and technical designs.
• Testing by hand and validating findings through manual testing of web applications and APIs.
• Maintaining AppSec tooling and automating repetitive tasks.
• Securing infrastructure for your tooling, including IAM and secrets management.
• Enabling engineers with security training and documentation.
• Evaluating tools and setting standards for AI/agent systems.
• Supporting the security team with investigations and incident response.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering in at least one modern language.
• Ability to read and understand code across multiple languages and stacks.
• Knowledge of identity and authorization failures.
• Understanding of API standards and security practices.
• Hands-on testing experience with web applications and APIs.
• Experience with threat modeling from written designs.
• Competence in AWS and infrastructure-as-code.
• Practical exposure to AI/LLM security.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-security professionals.

Requirements

• Experience shipping production code with strong backend engineering skills.
• Ability to judge reported findings and propose actionable fixes.
• Experience with manual testing and triaging vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with IAM scoping and secrets management.
• Experience in delivering security training or building learning environments.

Benefits

• Salary range: $146,000 - $185,000 a year.
• Potential eligibility for a bonus.
