Role Description

The Scheduling Specialist Level II, Pre-Access is responsible for scheduling duties for patients for services at an Ensemble Health Partners client. This role includes:

• Providing mentoring and coaching to other schedulers.
• Training new hires and working with leadership to ensure appropriate training follow-up.
• Answering questions from staff regarding operations.
• Performing scheduling functions while meeting the mission and goals of the client and all regulatory compliance requirements.
• Working within the policies and processes across the organization.

This position pays between $18.65-20.50/hour based on experience.

Essential Job Functions include:

• Scheduling and pre-registering patients for appropriate procedures based on physicians’ orders.
• Selecting accurate medical records for patient safety and providing proper patient instructions while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintaining a 95% quality rating and meeting appropriate productivity metrics.
• Mentoring and training other schedulers, including answering questions and providing coaching.
• Point of service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience.
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or willing to obtain within 9 months of employment.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation, including AI, to explore better processes.
• This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
