In addition to the Office of the Board of Regents, the University of Colorado’s system administration includes 19 units that provide essential services to CU’s campuses in Aurora, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Denver, as well as the Office of the President.

The Sr Production Support Professional assists in the management and oversight of all batch processing for the University of Colorado systems and applications. This position serves as a technical professional with the ability to:

• Understand IT processes
• Troubleshoot and test
• Create technical documentation
• Assist university stakeholders with inquiries

This position will provide support to Production Support Professionals through issue resolution and is heavily involved in scripting and automation to meet sophisticated customer requirements more efficiently.

The Sr Production Support Professional will need to have a solid basis of IT knowledge and the ability to work on an on-call schedule. This position is Essential Services and reports to the Assistant Director of Production Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)
• Three (3) years’ equivalent experience in a service desk, call center, data processing center or other customer service environment

Requirements

• Five (5) years’ equivalent experience in production services, including:
  • Batch experience
  • UNIX or Linux administration
  • Documentation for systems and processes/procedures
  • Understanding of change control processes
