[Hiring] Senior Epic Bridges / HL7 Integration Engineer @ZipStaff

Role Description

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Epic Bridges / HL7 Integration Engineer to support live interoperability for a major healthcare organization. This is an expert, independent interface seat—not a junior mapper. You will design, build, and support Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf (HL7 v2.x) integrations in a 24x7 production environment, with strong pharmacy message types (RDE, RDS, RAS, NCPDP).

• Deliver Epic Bridges interfaces end-to-end: requirements, build, test, production, and post-go-live support.
• Build and support HL7 v2.x interfaces on Cloverleaf (or equivalent integration engine).
• Work ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, MDM, DFT, RDE, RDS, RAS, NCPDP, MFN, and X12/EDI.
• Troubleshoot Bridges and engine failures independently in a 24x7 / on-call setting.
• Perform Epic-side build changes that enable or change interfaces.
• Support vendor interfaces into Epic and Epic upgrade cycles (Nova Notes, regression).
• Translate clinical and business needs into HL7 mappings and interface specs.
• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a HIPAA environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Epic Bridges development and production support in a live healthcare environment.
• Epic Bridges certification (required).
• 5+ years hands-on HL7 v2.x on Cloverleaf (or equivalent engine) in production.
• Expert build of ADT, SIU, ORM, ORU, MDM, DFT, RDE, RDS, RAS, NCPDP, MFN, and X12/EDI.
• Able to deliver new interfaces independently from requirements through production support.
• Epic-side build experience for interfaces; vendor-interface support.
• Live hospital or large multi-facility Epic environment.
• 24x7 production / on-call support.
• HIPAA-regulated healthcare IT.
• Bachelor’s in CS/IS or equivalent experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic Data Courier certification.
• Pharmacy / NCPDP and medication-message depth (RDE, RDS, RAS).
• FHIR or API integrations.
• VPN/TLS, SFTP.
• HIE, registries, or cloud integration patterns.
• Python, Java, .NET, or JavaScript.
• Epic upgrade (Nova Notes) ownership.
