Role Description

EnSafe is currently seeking a Part-Time Senior Environmental Project Manager/Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow with EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects supporting diverse clients across the globe. This position will be in Bowling Green, KY, with the opportunity to work remotely.

This role offers varied daily work. As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will lead with over 15 years of progressive hands-on experience in environmental investigations, assessments, and remediation projects, engaging with clients, regulators, and multi-disciplinary teams. EnSafe is committed to providing pragmatic, cost-effective strategies to maintain compliance, minimize liabilities, and improve environmental performance.

In this position, you will:

• Lead and support landfill engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps and design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
• Plan and perform site assessments, technology feasibility evaluations, construction oversight, and remedy O&M.
• Prepare, review, and mentor staff in the development of design documents, remedial alternatives analyses, specifications, and reports.
• Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Provide project and client management for sites ranging from landfill sites to complex industrial and federal facilities.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term cost projections.
• Provide technical leadership and assistance to teams across multiple offices, including problem-solving and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience required.
• P.E. required.
• Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations, legislation, and SOPs.
• Strong consulting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel overnight at least 20% to meet needs and objectives.
