[Hiring] Senior Environmental/Licensing Specialist @WSP

Role Description

WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental/Licensing Specialist to support our nuclear environmental services business team. This role entails delivery of high-quality nuclear environmental licensing services in conjunction with NRC regulation and related guidance.

• Strong foundation in NEPA/impact assessment and related environmental laws and regulations.
• Serve as a technical leader responsible for planning and executing NRC Environmental Reports (ER) and NEPA analyses.
• Define technical approaches, identify and direct required environmental and field studies.
• Integrate multidisciplinary inputs into defensible deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory developments and licensing pathways.
• Build and expand client relationships and lead outreach and account positioning strategies.
• Direct and deliver complex NEPA environmental assessments, EISs, and related supporting environmental studies.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality from pursuit through execution.
• Provide technical and administrative leadership on complex studies and mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in environmental/biological science, planning, engineering, or related discipline.
• 12+ years leading NEPA/environmental impact assessments for energy or nuclear projects.
• Strong command of NEPA and implementing regulations/guidance.
• Demonstrated experience preparing or managing NRC Environmental Reports (ER) and nuclear licensing reviews.
• Strong technical writing, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to synthesize diverse inputs into clear, defensible documents.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage projects to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Demonstrated success developing winning proposals and growing client relationships.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher degree required.
• Essential professional licensure/certification preferred.
• Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables.
