Role Description

The Railroad Business Unit of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Senior Level Bridge Design Engineers with experience in Railroad Bridge Design. • Will take on leadership roles and will be responsible for the delivery of projects.
• Assist Project Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions.
• Serve as technical leads on complex projects.
• Perform structural design and detailing of railroad bridge components with limited guidance.
• Supervise the work of Junior Engineers on projects.
• Perform tasks on multiple, concurrent projects.
• Perform additional duties, including field and construction service assignments as needed.
• Knowledge of railroad bridge analysis, design, and detailing methods based on the AREMA Manual.
• Familiarity with CADD software, Microsoft Office Software, and structural analysis software.
• Possess or develop effective leadership and communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills necessary to resolve design and detailing issues.
• Ability to identify appropriate steps in the bridge design and detailing process.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and team members.
• Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information orally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Engineers with experience in Railroad Bridge Design.
• Valid PE.
• Primary experience in Railroad Bridge Design.
• Class 1 Railroad Bridge Design.
• Thorough understanding of AREMA.
