[Hiring] Senior Development Manager @Alzheimer's Association®

Role Description

As Sr. Manager of Development, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research, and Do What You Love to End ALZ, a signature event of the Alzheimer’s Association.

• Drive success and achieve revenue goals by strategically identifying and engaging community and corporate leaders.
• Build and empower sustainable volunteer committees.
• Generate excitement and enthusiasm in your communities for fundraising events.
• Coach and inspire volunteers to implement proven strategies and best practices for event growth.
• Utilize networking and relationship-building skills to cultivate key community connections.
• Implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy, including outreach initiatives and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Manage multiple volunteer-led mass-market events simultaneously.
• Create unique, engaging community outreach activities that promote the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission.
• Maintain year-round relationships with National & Global team partners and constituents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals OR 3-5 years of successful experience in meeting sales targets.
• Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in delivering engaging presentations and speeches to diverse audiences.
• Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products and social media.

Requirements

• Able to execute a plan with the volunteer committee to recruit and retain past participants.
• Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers with different roles and responsibilities.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory by car.
• Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs. of materials.
