Role Description

Responsible for the data capture, analysis & reporting of data information to assist the Trinity Health leadership team achieve operational efficiency.

Responsible for auditing of department information, producing reports, & suggesting improvements to processes.
Provides knowledge & expertise in the program, services & applications.

Essential Functions:

Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates our Trinity Health Mission, Values, Vision, Actions & Promise in behaviors, practices & decisions.
Researches, collects & analyzes information.
Identifies opportunities, develops solutions, & leads through resolution.
Collaborates on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience.
Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials.
Incorporates basic knowledge of TH policies, practices & processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, & safety are prioritized.
Demonstrates knowledge of departmental processes & procedures & ability to readily acquire new knowledge.
Research & compiles information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives.
Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or Business Law or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in health care compliance or equivalent work experience demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations impacting the health care provider industry.
Must possess detailed knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations impacting health care corporate compliance programs.
Certification in Healthcare Compliance (“CHC”) designation or willingness to obtain certification within two (2) years of hire.

Requirements

Possess and maintain licensure or certification in compliance, law, audit, privacy, healthcare, or other relevant field or area of study.
Experience with government audits, inquiries, investigations, response, and mitigation.
Master’s or professional degree in law, business, or health care preferred.

Benefits

Hourly pay range: $30.64 - $45.96

Physical and Mental Requirements & Working Conditions

Occasional clinical / patient facing work environment.
Includes continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.
Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, occasional travel, frequent use of computer; Includes continuous sitting & may require occasional long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.
Must be able to adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities & stressful situations.
Continuously read small print, frequent ability to hear normal sounds & voice patterns.
Perform frequent manual dexterity activities & occasional grasping/handling.
Continuous attention to maintain a safe working environment & use of available personal protective equipment (PPE).

Additional Functional Roles

Assists management in the reporting of ICP activities to Trinity Health senior leadership and applicable board(s) of directors and compliance committees.
Coordinates the reporting of compliance related activities and issues by Regional Health Ministries to System Office leadership and governance.
Participates in responding to inquiries from RHM representatives regarding compliance program related requirements, activities and issues.
Facilitates the dissemination of information related to the ICP, such as regulatory changes, new and emerging issues, regulatory and enforcement activities, and compliance initiatives.
Assists management with compliance program development activities related to Regional Health Ministry compliance risks.
Conducts research related to existing, new and emerging regulatory requirements and issues impacting health care provider compliance programs as assigned.
Assists management in conducting annual and periodic risk assessments in support of the Trinity Health ICP.
Collaborates with management in the development and performance of activities to assess the ongoing effectiveness of Trinity Health’s ICP.
Conducts compliance audits, investigations and special projects as assigned.
