Role Description

The Senior Citrix Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, maintaining, and supporting on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments across multiple client environments. This role serves as the technical owner and senior escalation point for Citrix technologies, ensuring the stability, security, performance, and availability of client virtual application and desktop environments. The Senior Citrix Engineer will also serve as the technical authority for Citrix change management, standards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix ADC/NetScaler, StoreFront, Machine Creation Services (MCS), Citrix Profile Management, FSLogix, and virtualization technologies.

The Senior Citrix Engineer will work closely with Solutions Engineers, project teams, and client stakeholders during infrastructure deployments, onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and complex technical escalations. The role will also contribute to the development and optimization of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments as a complementary desktop virtualization platform.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant IT experience supporting SMB, enterprise, or MSP environments.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Citrix engineering experience.
• Extensive experience supporting on-premises Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Citrix ADC/NetScaler.
• Experience working in multi-client, enterprise, or MSP environments.
• Experience owning or participating in formal change management/change control processes.
