[Hiring] Senior Campaign Director @NRG Consulting Group
Feb 25, 2025 - NRG Consulting Group is hiring a remote Senior Campaign Director. 💸 Salary: $100,000-$130,000. 📍Location: USA.
Role Description
This is a key leadership role for a highly competent organizer within an organization that builds and sustains creative, highly visible campaigns to ensure that technology is a force for liberation and empowerment rather than exploitation and oppression.
You will be:

Building and organizing campaigns (70%):
- Develop and drive advocacy strategies that advance the organization's key policy goals in issue areas like surveillance, privacy, decentralized tech, anti-censorship and more.
- Create or direct high-quality communications materials like mass emails, press releases, news pitches, web pages, event materials, video scripts, social media content, op-eds, and fundraising appeals.
- Act as a spokesperson to the media on our campaigns.
- Manage relationships with businesses and organizations, develop partnerships with civil society stakeholders, organize IRL campaign actions and lobby days, and/or work with in-house designers and technologists on websites and digital tools.

Tending to big-picture strategy (20%):
- Identify, monitor, and analyze regulatory and legislative developments affecting Fight for the Future’s campaigns and policy positions.
- Follow the development of technologies related to your work and study the companies leading them.
- Work closely with other campaigns staff to develop Fight for the Future’s policy positions.

Supporting organizational needs (10%):
- Assist with organizational needs such as staff and volunteer recruitment, contractor management, fundraising, and special projects.
- Help promote an internal culture that values rest, recovery, and mutual support.
Qualifications
- At least eight years of experience in relevant fields like organizing and campaigning, legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, or writing/journalism.
- Professional writing experience, especially for large audiences, including online audiences and traditional media.
- Familiarity with the pace of the news cycle and understanding of how quickly to move to ensure our voice is heard.
- Project management and organizational skills to keep multiple projects on track.
- Experience generating media coverage on campaigns.
- A rigorous and thought-provoking perspective on a wide range of political issues.
- Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Requirements
- Experience in building power on issues and understanding the necessary messaging.
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas into concise, easily understandable copy for the web.
- Skills in developing traditional media plans and writing press materials.
- Experience in making significant contributions to high-profile campaigns or projects.
- Ability to work in solidarity with others on the team and coalition partners.
