Role Description

The Senior Applications Engineer (SAE) is responsible for proactively educating and empowering clients, delivering high-quality software demonstrations, and providing customer-specific mentoring. This role enhances clients' understanding and effective use of software, ultimately improving their job performance and realizing the potential benefits of software, platforms, and processes to improve job performance and realize business value. The SAE contributes to increased sales of software, services, and training by promoting a client-centric learning environment, collaborating with Sales, and serving as a technical resource and mentor to colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination, preparation, and delivery of product demonstrations and mentoring sessions.
• Ensure demonstrations and mentoring sessions meet or exceed established quality and effectiveness standards.
• Manage demonstration environments and supporting resources to maximize the effectiveness of client education.
• Deliver clear, engaging, and technically accurate presentations tailored to client needs, experience levels, and business objectives.
• Maintain strong technical knowledge of applicable PTC products and EAC services.
• Attain required technical certifications within prescribed timeframes and attempt limits.
• Continuously develop product knowledge, demonstration techniques, and industry expertise.
• Identify opportunities to improve demonstration materials, processes, and technical learning resources.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop demonstration scopes, schedules, and approaches aligned with client needs and sales objectives.
• Promote EAC services and PTC products during client interactions.
• Contribute ideas and participate in revenue-generating initiatives for the Technical Sales team.
• Maintain regular communication with Sales team members and designated senior colleagues.
• Serve as a technical resource for colleagues by sharing product knowledge and effective client education practices.
• Provide constructive feedback and peer review of demonstrations, presentations, and mentoring materials.
• Support colleagues who are learning new content by sharing resources and offering guidance.
• Model professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to quality.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness and share best practices.
• Respond to client requests professionally, using established procedures and escalation processes.
• Manage competing priorities, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and maintain high-quality work.
• Communicate potential issues, risks, and resource needs promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree required; four-year technical degree preferred.
• Experience delivering software demonstrations, adult technical education, or technical presentations preferred.
• Experience with PTC products, particularly Creo and Windchill, preferred.
• Experience with PTC IoT solutions is a plus.
• Experience working with a professional consulting services organization is a plus.
• Hands-on technical consulting, industry-related experience, or technical training involving external client projects is a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in the United States of America.
• Must be able to travel for client On-Site demonstrations.
