Role Description

This is a remote position. The Security Consulting Manager leads the delivery of ServiceNow Security Operations, Unified Security Exposure Management (USEM), and broader cybersecurity consulting engagements for enterprise clients. The Manager is accountable for engagement quality, client satisfaction, delivery performance, team leadership, and alignment with contractual commitments and Templar Shield standards.

The Manager works directly with client executives and stakeholders across various domains:

The Manager also helps clients evaluate and implement AI-enabled security capabilities using ServiceNow Otto, ensuring appropriate security, privacy, governance, explainability, human oversight, and responsible-use controls.

This is a client-facing consulting and delivery leadership role that leads Architects and consulting teams, supports business development and account growth, and contributes to the continued development of Templar Shield’s ServiceNow Security Consulting practice. The Manager reports to a Director and is responsible for successful client outcomes, team development, and consistent delivery across assigned engagements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering cybersecurity, risk, compliance, governance, ServiceNow, or enterprise technology consulting services.
• 3+ years of experience leading consulting teams, managing client engagements, or serving in a manager, senior consultant, lead consultant, or architect-level role.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements or workstreams, including project teams, scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, maturity assessments, solution reviews, executive presentations, and governance meetings.
• Strong understanding of security operations, incident management, exposure and vulnerability management, threat intelligence, security posture management, remediation, security automation, and cybersecurity program governance.
• Experience translating business, security, regulatory, and operational requirements into implementation strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Experience overseeing integrations between ServiceNow and SIEM, EDR, vulnerability-scanning, threat-intelligence, CMDB, IT operations, and other enterprise security technologies.
• Experience developing proposals, estimates, staffing plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, relationship-management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive stakeholders and geographically distributed teams and travel up to 50% based on client and business needs.

Requirements

• Lead ServiceNow Security Operations and Security Consulting engagements from discovery and planning through implementation, deployment, adoption, and post-production transition.
• Develop a clear understanding of each client’s objectives, security operating model, technology environment, regulatory obligations, risks, and program maturity to guide engagement strategy and delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, maturity assessments, design workshops, executive steering committees, project-status discussions, and governance meetings.
• Ensure engagement deliverables meet client requirements, Statements of Work, contractual commitments, approved budgets, schedules, and Templar Shield quality standards.
• Manage delivery risks, scope changes, dependencies, and escalations while maintaining effective communication with client executives, project sponsors, delivery teams, and Templar Shield leadership.
• Advise clients on security operations, Security Incident Response, Unified Security Exposure Management, Vulnerability Response, Threat Intelligence Security Center, Security Posture Control, Configuration Compliance, and related cybersecurity practices.
• Translate business, security, regulatory, and operational requirements into ServiceNow Security Operations strategies, maturity assessments, implementation roadmaps, future-state operating models, and measurable business outcomes.
• Provide delivery oversight while Architects lead solution architecture and technical design, ensuring proposed solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with ServiceNow leading practices.
• Guide clients in developing security operating models, incident-response processes, exposure and vulnerability prioritization methodologies, threat-intelligence workflows, remediation processes, security automation, and integrations with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, threat-intelligence platforms, the CMDB, and other enterprise security tools.
• Review solution designs, workflows, integrations, automation, dashboards, reporting strategies, implementation plans, and ServiceNow Otto capabilities to ensure quality, security, scalability, responsible AI use, and alignment with client objectives and ServiceNow leading practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Architects and consulting team members through regular coaching, performance feedback, career development, and professional growth planning.
• Coordinate resource planning, project staffing, workload allocation, and team assignments based on engagement requirements, resource availability, and individual capabilities.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention activities for Security Consulting professionals.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across geographically distributed consulting, engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
• Foster a positive consulting culture focused on professional growth, high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, teamwork, and responsible use of automation and AI.
• Monitor engagement financials, budgets, utilization, resource capacity, schedules, delivery performance, contractual commitments, and client satisfaction across assigned engagements.
• Establish and monitor engagement metrics to evaluate delivery quality, project health, team performance, security outcomes, and achievement of client objectives.
• Identify delivery, financial, resource, technical, security, and client risks; develop mitigation plans and take timely corrective action when necessary.
• Support consistent project governance, status reporting, forecasting, documentation, quality assurance, and delivery controls across assigned engagements.
• Communicate engagement performance, significant risks, resource needs, and client concerns to the Director while supporting continuous improvement across consulting operations.
