[Hiring] Search Associate @Good Insight

Role Description

The Search Associate plays an active role in our efforts to build an antiracist consulting practice. They will join a group of people forming a shared philosophical commitment to antiracism, while also understanding the opportunities and limitations of executive search to shift the nonprofit sector from predominantly white workplaces. We see an opportunity for leadership transitions to become a tool for racial, economic, and social justice.

Position Overview:

• Engage with approximately 12 executive search clients a year to provide project management support.
• Work closely with a Project Lead, typically Good Insight’s CEO, a Director of Search, or a Consultant.
• Accountable to a Director of Search and collaborate with the Associate Director of Search and Senior Search Associate.

Key responsibilities of the Search Associate include:

• Project Administration:
  • Create and administer project management plans and tools for each engagement in partnership with Project Lead.
  • Use Asana project management software to develop and update work plans.
  • Manage records using Google Drive.
  • Prepare client-specific technology tools for each project.
  • Support project meetings, including scheduling and planning logistics.
  • Draft written materials and communications.
  • Review, edit, and format reports, documents, and presentations.
  • Monitor and apply HR and talent acquisition best practices.
• Plan and Prepare for the Search:
  • Manage client intake process and collect discovery materials.
  • Support Project Lead to create a custom stakeholder engagement strategy.
  • Prepare stakeholder communications and schedule meetings.
  • Develop, administer, and analyze stakeholder surveys.
  • Conduct compensation analysis.
  • Assist in the development of job announcements and candidate profiles.
• Recruit and Correspond with Prospective Candidates:
  • Support Project Lead to design tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure an equitable and inclusive recruitment process.
  • Conduct outreach to potential candidates.
  • Research and upload job postings to various platforms.
  • Communicate with applicants and conduct brief initial interviews.
  • Manage and communicate with candidates about their status.
• Assess and Select Finalists:
  • Assist Project Lead with the development of structured interview protocols.
  • Schedule interviews and manage interview logistics.
  • Attend all interviews and take notes.
  • Maintain candidate communications throughout the process.
  • Facilitate reference checking process.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably in an Assistant or Coordinator-level role.
• Experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in human services, arts, community development, or education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technological proficiency, including MS Office and Google Drive.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as part of a geographically dispersed team.
• Exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and strong decision-making skills.
