[Hiring] SCADA Subject Matter Expert @EPAM

Role Description

We are seeking a SCADA SME to strengthen EPAM's oil and gas practice with practical, hands-on knowledge of SCADA and industrial control systems used across oil and gas operations. Acting as the domain authority on SCADA and control systems matters, you will support business development and delivery teams with operations-grounded input, contribute to client proposals and pitches, and ensure that proposed solutions and approaches reflect how SCADA systems are actually designed, deployed, and operated in the field.

• Serve as the go-to SCADA and control systems expert for client-facing teams, providing credible, field-grounded input on system architecture, integration, and operations.
• Advise business development and delivery teams on technical feasibility, scope, and risk in SCADA-related opportunities.
• Contribute domain content to proposals, capability statements, and pitch decks for SCADA and automation opportunities, particularly with major NOC and IOC clients.
• Support discovery and scoping discussions with clients, translating operational and control-system pain points into solution narratives.
• Provide input on SCADA system design, integration, and migration approaches based on direct hands-on experience.
• Advise on network architecture, communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA), and system redundancy/failover design.
• Review delivery approaches and deliverables for technical and operational soundness.
• Build and maintain relationships with control systems and operations stakeholders at major oil and gas companies.
• Track industry trends in SCADA, automation, and OT/IT convergence to inform EPAM's positioning.
• Identify practical applications for digital tools, analytics, and AI solutions built on top of SCADA and control system data.
• Support delivery teams in translating operational needs into workable digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in industry-standard SCADA and control system platforms.
• Solid working knowledge of the core functional disciplines related to SCADA, encompassing operations, maintenance, and OT cybersecurity.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Computer, or related discipline).
• Experience: 10-15+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA and industrial control systems in oil and gas operations.
• Experience with a Major (IOC/NOC) or top-tier operator is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record designing, integrating, or supporting SCADA systems across upstream, midstream, or downstream assets.
• Technical Skills: Strong grasp of SCADA architecture, PLC/RTU integration, telemetry, historian systems, and relevant industry standards.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging both technical operating teams and senior client stakeholders.
