Role Description

Join Brown & Brown Absence Services Group as a Return-to-Work Specialist! The Return-to-Work Specialist plays a key role in supporting individuals with disabilities as they explore employment opportunities through the Ticket to Work program. This position is primarily responsible for:

• Conducting outbound calls to screen potential program participants.
• Assessing eligibility and answering questions to help individuals make informed decisions about returning to work.
• Assisting clients in developing Individual Work Plans, outlining personalized employment goals and the steps needed to achieve them.
• Providing services to Ticketholders during the job acquisition phase such as resume support, interview preparation, job search assistance, and referrals to appropriate resources.

This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to empowering individuals on their journey toward financial independence through work.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as a primary point of contact at the front-end of the process, engaging in a high volume of outbound and inbound calls and emails to educate and screen potential program participants.
• Identify personalized employment goals and complete Individual Work Plans (IWPs) to initiate services and Ticket assignment.
• Assist assigned Ticketholders during the job acquisition phase, providing support with resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
• Ensure adherence to program rules and requirements, maintaining compliance in all interactions and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members by completing additional tasks to support overall program operations.

Qualifications

• Experience and confidence in high volume outbound educational calls from warm leads.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in a related field.
• 2 years’ experience in vocational, clinical, claim management role in a group disability insurance organization preferred.
• Able to pass a Social Security Administration (SSA) Suitability background screening.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
• Work Incentive Practitioner Credentials (WIP-C) preferred.
