[Hiring] Research Intern @Ibis Reproductive Health

Role Description

We seek 2-3 interns with a strong commitment to the advancement of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice and the ability to provide research support on Ibis projects. Intern positions are meant to offer exposure and skills-building opportunities to early career researchers and would be most appropriate for undergraduate, masters-level students, or people with entry-level work experience (no degree required; this internship is not designed for PhD-level researchers).

• Comfortable working on abortion
• Supporting multiple projects simultaneously
• Interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
• Experience with and/or interest in sexual and reproductive health research and advocacy

This is a remote position based within the United States. If you are located near the Cambridge, MA or Oakland, CA offices, there may be opportunities to visit the office.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and time management
• Collaborative and self-directed workstyle
• Interest/experience working with diverse communities and populations (ex. BIPOC, LGBTQIA, etc.)

• Interest and/or experience with qualitative coding and analysis and relevant software (Dedoose, MAXQDA, etc.)
• Interest and/or experience working in quantitative studies, such as tracking and analyzing survey or health records data
• Data management skills, basic familiarity with Stata or R a plus

Requirements

• Positions expected to begin in late May or early June
• Time commitment of approximately 20-30 hours a week for 10-12 weeks
• Interns will receive a modest stipend (minimum of $4,000 for 10 weeks)
• Opportunity to extend the length of the internship, dependent on funding
• Applications from students receiving work study or practicum/school credit are welcome
• Position based in the United States; no work visa sponsorship available
