[Hiring] Regional Organizer @Red Wine & Blue

Role Description

We are seeking a Regional Organizer to help us engage women, expand our networks and encourage organizing in suburban communities within the Pittsburgh area.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Data skills with a vast network in targeted counties
• Ability to confidently speak in front of both small and large groups
• Willingness to work some nights and weekends for community events

Requirements

• Frequent local or in-state travel to events
• Ability to engage directly with community members, volunteers, and voters
• Experience in organizing techniques and community engagement
• Familiarity with local and statewide political issues and legislation
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably EveryAction

• Salary of $52,500, commensurate with related experience

What You'll Do

• Community Engagement and Relationship Building
  • Serve as RWB’s on-the-ground presence by growing our supporter base
  • Spread the word about RWB in targeted suburban communities
  • Research organizations and build coalitions with key groups
  • Stay informed on local and statewide political issues
• Event Planning and Participation
  • Organize and participate in in-person and virtual events
  • Train local women on organizing techniques
• Local Research and Coalition Building
  • Research key organizations and political groups
  • Stay informed on local and statewide issues
• Content and Media Support
  • Participate in digital content for RWB’s online channels
  • Manage state social media pages
  • Support earned media opportunities
• Team Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with the organizing team for events
  • Maintain regular communication with the State and Deputy Program Directors
• General and Administrative
  • Track work through metrics and data
  • Develop a weekly schedule prioritizing community engagement
  • Support the RWB organizing team with events
