Role Description

The Recovery & Resiliency (R&R) Market Lead is responsible for advancing a recovery-oriented, member-centric approach across assigned markets and state operations. This role provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and expansion of peer-based programs and services that enhance consumer engagement, promote recovery and resiliency, and support members in achieving their recovery goals.

The R&R Market Lead serves as a transformational leader and subject matter expert in recovery principles, lived experience, peer support, and consumer/family engagement. This position is accountable for ensuring that the perspectives of members, families, and people with lived experience are embedded in every phase of operations, including care delivery, training, community partnerships, quality review, and policy development.

The role is also responsible for expanding the organization’s recovery footprint in the community, reducing stigma related to mental health and substance use, supporting the peer workforce, and ensuring that internal and external educational programs and contractual training requirements are met across states and markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead recovery and resiliency initiatives that promote a member-centered, recovery-oriented approach to behavioral health services
• Develop, implement, and expand peer-based programs that support recovery, wellness, and consumer engagement
• Serve as a subject matter expert on recovery principles, lived experience, peer support, and family engagement
• Partner with internal teams to embed recovery-focused practices into operations, care delivery, and strategic planning
• Design and facilitate training programs, educational curricula, and certification-related learning opportunities for providers, peers, and community stakeholders
• Build and maintain statewide and regional partnerships with advocacy groups, consumer-run organizations, and community stakeholders
• Support, develop, and expand the peer workforce through coaching, technical assistance, education, and quality oversight
• Champion initiatives that reduce stigma, improve health equity, and increase access to recovery-focused resources and services
• Advocate for system improvements and policy changes that strengthen peer support services and recovery-oriented systems of care
• Represent the organization in community, stakeholder, and state-level behavioral health initiatives while driving meaningful organizational change

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Solid knowledge of recovery and resiliency principles and understanding of recovery-oriented systems of care
• Ability to travel up to 75% within Kansas, Washington, Texas, and New Mexico
• Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently certified in one or more of the following:
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • QPR
  • ACEs
  • Relapse Prevention
  • PEARLS
  • Narcan Training
• Experience representing a health plan or behavioral health organization
• Experience coordinating statewide or regional recovery initiatives
• Existing relationships with community stakeholders
