[Hiring] Real Estate Valuation Consultant @Altus Group

Role Description

Reporting to the Manager, Valuation Expert, we are hiring a Real Estate Valuation Consultant to support the delivery of commercial real estate valuation services across the US. As our new Valuation Consultant, you will:

• Coordinate end-to-end valuation delivery within the pod, working closely with Analysts, the Global Service Center (GSC), clients, and third-party appraisers.
• Apply your valuation expertise and market knowledge to complete and review valuations, assess appraisal reports and assumptions, address issues, and support consistent delivery and quality across a range of property types.

This is a full-time remote role open to candidates based in the Eastern or Central US time zones, with a preference for candidates in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Tysons Corner, Houston, Boston, Nashville, and Charlotte/North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation principles.
• Ability to independently complete valuations across a range of property types.
• Understanding of appraisal reports, valuation methodologies, and the application of USPAP guidelines.
• Confidence in reviewing market data and conducting property and submarket analysis.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate work across different teams.
• Enjoyment in sharing knowledge and supporting the development of others.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with valuation data and financial models.

Requirements

• Independently manage end-to-end valuation assignments across a range of commercial property types.
• Review market data and analysis prepared by Analysts and Senior Analysts.
• Review third-party appraisal reports for reasonable market and pricing assumptions.
• Be a primary point of contact for Analysts and the Global Service Centre (GSC) on day-to-day processes.
• Gather and analyze property, market, and submarket information.
• Guide and mentor Analysts, reviewing their work and helping them strengthen their commercial real estate knowledge.
