Role Description
QS4QS is looking for talented and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and to the required standards.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on detailed analysis and evaluation of drawings and specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis, advising on the financial viability of projects.
- Manage and advise on contractual matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular reports on financial status to stakeholders.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of claims for additional costs and variations.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, monitor quality, and ensure that work is completed to specification.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market rates.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
