Role Description
The Proposal Manager will report directly to the Director of Government Proposals, playing a critical role in the successful submission of high-quality proposals for government procurement opportunities. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director to respond to both competitive and non-competitive procurement opportunities, ensuring that each proposal is meticulously crafted to meet the solicitation requirements and reflect the strengths of our organization.
- Manage the proposal process from inception to completion
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information
- Draft compelling proposal content
- Oversee the formatting and finalization of proposal documents
- Maintain the answer library, conducting quarterly reviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Drive proposal efforts and contribute to the overall success of the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the technology sector
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, SharePoint, and proposal management software (ideally Responsive)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent project management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- This position will require travel about 20% of work time
