[Hiring] Program Supervisor @State of Montana

Role Description

The Commitment Oversight & Release Section (CORS) Program Supervisor will be driving meaningful change for incarcerated individuals, improving outcomes back into Montana communities, and providing transparency and shaping placement decisions for offenders who have been placed under DOC authority.

• Oversee statewide section making placement decisions for DOC committed offenders
• Drive strategy, set goals, and measure outcomes to improve system-wide performance
• Ensure quality, compliance, and consistency with policies and correctional best practices
• Participate in the Institutional Screening process
• Partner with DOC personnel and community partners
• Ensure statutorily required court notifications are completed
• Represent DOC with legislators, leadership, and the public
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals

You’ll play a critical role in advancing rehabilitation efforts, strengthening communities, and shaping the future of DOC committed offenders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with program management
• Proficiency using Excel for tracking and reporting
• Ability to provide effective leadership, vision and direction
• Ability to provide clear communication and transparent processes to internal and external stakeholders
• Five years of experience within the Montana Department of Corrections
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to behavioral health, social services, criminology, human services or other occupationally related fields
• Supervisory and program management experience
• Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
