Role Description
As a Production Estimator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project cost estimations. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for custom residential projects.
- Analyzing architectural and engineering drawings to identify potential issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborating with designers, architects, and project managers to refine project plans and budgets.
- Sourcing and negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive costs.
- Identifying discrepancies in plans and coordinating revisions to improve project efficiency.
- Developing and maintaining a cost database for materials, labour, and other project expenses.
- Ensuring estimates align with project requirements, budget constraints, and construction timelines.
- Supporting the project team with cost-related insights throughout the construction process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Production Estimator in the residential construction industry.
- Strong understanding of custom home construction, including sloping blocks, basements, and irregular designs.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to interpret and analyze architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
