[Hiring] Product Security Engineer @Latent

Role Description

We’re building the intelligence layer of American healthcare. Our systems sit directly in critical workflows and power how clinical AI is delivered and used in practice. The work here translates into faster access to treatment and significantly less operational burden for healthcare teams. You’ll be working on the core systems that make this possible.

What You'll Do

• Cloud Security: Mature and harden Latent’s cloud environment from a security and compliance standpoint into a secure-by-default stance.
• AI Security: Provide employees access to AI-powered tools in a secure and compliant way.
• Data Security: Secure our data warehouse to ensure insights are provided without compromising patient security and privacy.
• Application and Product Security: Automate all aspects of the SDLC from a security perspective and define security requirements for new product features.
• IT Security: Secure employee devices and applications, automating security around IT and business applications.
• Incident Detection and Response: Investigate potential incidents and build detections specific to Latent’s environment.

Technical Qualifications

• Experience with coding agents and basic engineering principles.
• Built IAM workflows (Okta, SSO, SAML, JIT provisioning).
• Designed managed settings for AI tools and coding agents.
• Collaborated with developers on secure code and features.
• Hardened AWS cloud and CI/CD environments.
• Built and maintained a vulnerability management program.
• Automated security and compliance for MacOS and BYOD endpoints.
• Experience with security alerts and investigations.

Nice to Have

• Experience working at an early stage startup in security.
• Familiarity with healthcare data and HIPAA.
• Experience with SOC2 audits.
