Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing of food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and other materials required for our hospital dining operations. This role will work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely purchasing, competitive pricing, and uninterrupted supply. This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing of food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and operational materials.
• Source and coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, pricing, and availability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages.
• Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors on deliveries.
• Review invoices, orders, and delivery documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate vendor, pricing, and procurement records.
• Coordinate remotely with dining, kitchen, operations, and finance teams.
• Ensure products meet required quality and food-service standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Experience in food service, hospitality, healthcare, or dining operations preferred.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems.
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
