Role Description

The Process Server Performance Proof Team sits at the intersection of support and compliance, ensuring that proofs of service submitted by field servers are accurate, legally sufficient, and returned in a timely manner. This team acts as the front line for reviewing proof documentation, coaching servers on correct completion, and resolving problem documents before they become case-jeopardizing errors. This is not a document-processing or e-filing role; it's a performance and compliance-driven function focused on getting proofs right and getting servers the feedback they need to improve.

This position is remote but located in Montana, North Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Arkansas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida.

What You'll Do

• Proof Review & Compliance
  • Review affidavits/certificates of service submitted by field servers for accuracy, confirming that names, addresses, dates, times, and manner of service are correctly documented and legally sufficient.
  • Ensure proofs meet the specific formatting and content requirements of the jurisdiction where the case is filed, understanding that rules vary significantly by state and even by county.
  • Identify notary-related errors on submitted proofs and advise servers when a document requires notarization (note: this team does not coordinate with notaries directly).
• Server Coaching & Escalation Handling
  • Serve as the escalation point for "problem documents" — proofs that come in with errors — and work to get them corrected.
  • Provide direct coaching and feedback to servers when proofs are completed correctly or incorrectly, helping build long-term accuracy and reduce recurring errors.
  • Follow up on failed service attempts and court clerk rejections, guiding servers through correction and resubmission.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Run and work through regular reports on a daily basis.
  • Track individual server performance to identify trends and areas needing improvement.
  • Manage secondary reports as applicable.
  • Conduct direct outreach to servers regarding proofs that have not yet been returned (100+ daily outreach volume).
  • Review Skye logs in full and follow them closely, staying on top of document and service edits to quickly understand the current status of a case.
• Collaboration
  • Collaborate on large-scale projects with the team and cross-functionally with other departments.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies in legal documentation.
• Comfort with high-volume, repetitive daily outreach and follow-up.
• Ability to interpret and apply jurisdiction-specific rules that vary by state and county.
• Clear, constructive communication skills — this role involves ongoing coaching and feedback with field servers.
• Comfort working within reporting tools and logs (e.g., Skye) and quickly parsing edits/changes.
• A support-and-compliance mindset: equal parts helping servers succeed and holding the line on accuracy standards.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across daily reports, outreach, escalations, and project work.

Pay Range

$15.00 to $17.00 per hour
