Role Description

The Principal Consultant, Pricing & Market Access at Parexel is responsible for leading a team of professionals to deliver strategic market access and commercialization solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and specialty healthcare clients. The Principal Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex engagements across:

• Pricing
• Reimbursement
• HTA
• Value communications
• Evidence generation
• Launch readiness
• Market access strategy

Your focus will be to deliver client services while building trusted relationships with existing and new clients to enhance the Parexel Access Consulting brand and reputation in the business.

Working within a CRO environment, the Principal Consultant collaborates closely with experts across:

• Clinical development
• Real-world evidence (RWE)
• HEOR
• Medical
• Regulatory
• Commercialization functions

As a Principal within the Access team, you will work directly with clients to develop business opportunities and deliver projects ensuring high client satisfaction. The role combines:

• Strategic consulting leadership
• Business development
• Project oversight
• Team mentorship

Qualifications

• 6+ years Pricing & Market Access experience in a consulting environment
• 3+ years project management experience in pricing & market access and/or HTA and literature review projects
• Recognised as a trusted advisor within the market access and healthcare community
• A strong track record of timely and high-quality project delivery
• Experience in European HTA, pricing, and reimbursement processes, particularly within Germany (AMNOG) and/or France (HAS)
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic market insights and client recommendations
• 2:1 or above Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline; higher degree is desirable

Requirements

• Serve as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on market access, payer, pricing, policy, and reimbursement challenges
• Take ownership of client relationships, lead proposals, and seek out new opportunities
• Lead collaborations with other businesses within Parexel to deliver client services
• Lead the development of strategic recommendations across various areas
• Advise clients on evolving access and policy environments
• Lead and oversee complex consulting engagements from proposal through delivery
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and client expectations
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks while driving successful project outcomes
• Support new business generation through proposals, RFP responses, and client pitches
• Develop strong relationships with key client stakeholders
• Work with the Access leadership team to lead the development and growth of global services
• Mentor consultants and senior consultants on strategic thinking, project delivery, and client engagement
• Contribute to the development of market access methodologies, tools, and intellectual property
