Role Description

Are you an organised and detail-focused third-party pensions professional looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a Pensions Project Analyst to support the delivery of a wide range of pension projects and events. In this role, you will play an important part in data mining, processing tasks, running reports, preparing correspondence and client reports, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress. • Carrying out data mining and processing projects and events with a high level of accuracy
• Collecting, checking and inputting data correctly
• Running data reports and preparing member correspondence and client reports
• Performing manual and automated pension calculations for events such as leavers, retirements, deaths, renewals, pension increases and PIA
• Using MKEY reports and data mining techniques to find the information needed in member files or received data
• Reviewing Scheme Booklets, Trust Deeds, Rules and Benefit Specifications to understand task requirements
• Ensuring work complies with pension regulations, including GMP/GMPE, minimum pension increases and disclosure requirements
• Liaising with stakeholders by email, telephone and in meetings to provide progress updates
• Working closely with team members and supporting teams to ensure smooth delivery
• Managing your workload effectively and allowing enough time for peer review
• Prioritising tasks to meet deadlines, including where priorities may conflict
• Preparing and checking member correspondence and client reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Using Advanced Excel and Word, to support reporting and administration

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and Hybrid pension schemes
• Good knowledge of pension regulations and how they affect the work being completed, including GMP/GMPE, disclosure requirements and minimum pension increases
• Advanced Excel and Word
• Strong analytical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving
• Ability to process, collect and input data accurately
• Experience of manual and automated pension calculations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong prioritisation and time management skills
• A team-focused approach, with the ability to work independently when needed
• A collaborative and approachable style with colleagues and stakeholders
• A visible, engaged working style that supports the team throughout the day

Requirements

• PMI, Prince, or a willingness to work towards one of these
