[Hiring] Outside Liability Claim Representative @Travelers

Role Description

As a Claim Rep, General Liability, you will be responsible for managing and investigating low to moderate complexity injury and/or property damage claims including:

• Customer contact
• In-person inspections
• Determining coverage
• Evaluating liability
• Assessing damages
• Establishing timely reserves
• Issuing timely and accurate payments

This role requires working closely with customers, claimants, attorneys, and other parties to ensure claims are resolved accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism, empathy, and service. Typically, this role services specialty accounts and may involve:

• Providing training and coaching to less experienced claim professionals
• Working remotely with a combination of mobile work, work from your primary residence, or the nearest Travelers office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two years of property damage, bodily injury, or liability claim experience
• Active adjuster license, where required by state law
• Experience with claims management systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and enterprise technology systems and platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze situations and exercise sound judgement
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage stress and maintain professionalism under pressure
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and terminology
• Working knowledge of state insurance regulations
• Ability to quickly learn from experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of bodily injury liability, property damage liability, or comparable claim related experience or successful completion of required Travelers Claim Representative training program
• Valid Driver’s License
