[Hiring] Onboarding Accounting Specialist @Uplinq Financial Technologies

Role Description

You're the first person a new Uplinq client talks to after they sign. You'll walk them through setup and get their account live, which includes cleaning up whatever data they bring with them.

The portfolio is large and always moving. Clients sit at every stage of onboarding at the same time, so you'll be holding several timelines in your head on any given day. When one starts to slip, we need to hear it from you early.

How you come across on a call matters in this job. Most of these clients are small business owners who just spent money on something they don't fully understand yet, and you're the proof they made a good decision. The right person here is someone a nervous owner relaxes around inside the first ten minutes.

What you'll do

• Run client meetings daily to collect financial data and pin down scope.
• Set up and configure Uplinq and QuickBooks Online accounts, including fixing integration and access problems.
• Check the signed proposal against what the client tells you they need on the first call and flag any scope or pricing mismatch.
• Keep a high volume of onboarding timelines and deliverables moving at once.
• Troubleshoot setup and data problems with real accounting judgment.
• Find workarounds when onboarding stalls.
• Work with Sales, Initialization, Accounting, and Tax to close handoff gaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a client-facing accounting or onboarding role.
• 3+ years using QuickBooks Online daily, including setup, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Solid working knowledge of cash and accrual accounting.
• Experience managing 15+ active client relationships simultaneously.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients about scope and pricing issues.
