[Hiring] Observability Specialist @Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia

Role Description

We are a very communicative group of people which is trying to avoid big customer business impact. How? We monitor dashboards, where we can find every step taken by our customer - Deutsche Telekom. Reading and interpretation of dashboards is our day and night routine. We support the reliable operation of IT services by monitoring system telemetry, including metrics, logs, and traces, using modern observability platforms and OpenTelemetry. Evaluation of possible business impact of incidents and involving the right people to solve them, is making our IT Control center team a strong key player in avoiding big incidents. We use observability tools, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities to improve system visibility, detect anomalies, and support service stability.

Joining our team will give you a big jump into the IT world. The role contributes to 24/7 shift operations by performing initial alert assessments, identifying potential issues, and escalating incidents affecting IT services, infrastructure, and applications.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Detect service-impacting signals to surface conditions that influence availability and performance during the day and night
• Evaluate possible customer business impact of incidents
• Involve responsible technicians to solve the incidents
• Communicate with technicians (Application Manager, Technical Solution Manager, ...)
• Deliver structured operational reporting to summarize service health trends and highlight meaningful events.
• Organize and facilitate technical teleconferences
• Attend meetings to provide escalatable observability insights to enable timely and accurate incident assessment by incident management and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Have at least secondary education
• Love to communicate and have presentation skills
• Have analytical thinking
• Have high ability to cooperate in a team
• Are proactive and customer oriented
• Have basic overview about IT (Hardware, Software, Linux - Advantage)
• Make AI a part of your life
• Speak German at least on B2 level or speak English at least on B2 level
• Are willing to work 24/7, 12h shifts

Salary

Final salary is negotiable. We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1150 € /brutto.

Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Slovakia due to European taxation regulation.
