Role Description
The MOVE Associate Experience Supervisor plays an important part in the ability to offer MOVE programs to more youth with autism and intellectual disabilities across Canada. This role is responsible for supervising and engaging a team of Associates for the MOVE by GoodLife Kids Program. Through collaboration, this role assists with identifying program needs to enhance program development, retention, and sustainability. Finally, this role contributes to facilitating the program logistics to ensure a positive experience for all. This would be a remote position with 15-20 hours per week with the potential to travel on site.
- Leads coaching, learning, development, and performance management of all direct reports to ensure a positive and safe working experience.
- Coordinates and conducts individual monthly meetings with all direct reports.
- Monitors and supports the daily tasks of direct reports.
- Collaborates and delivers monthly team meetings for all Associates.
- Discovers and shares best practices with the team as the MOVE Program evolves.
- Represents GoodLife Kids Foundation in a professional, positive, caring, and friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience with staff and volunteers.
- Ability to coordinate, mentor, supervise and build a positive rapport with Associates.
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities, specifically autism and intellectual disabilities.
- Highly collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others to support establishing and achieving collective goals.
- Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- A proactive, flexible, and adaptable mindset.
- Access to reliable internet connection that supports uninterrupted video conferencing.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in the fitness industry.
- Relevant fitness-related certification or education (i.e., Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS)/Personal Training Specialist (PTS) or a diploma in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology and/or Physical Education, etc.).
- Availability 25-30 hours weekly. Daytime and some evening availability required.
