[Hiring] Mortgage Loan Processor @Gershman Mortgage

Role Description

As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you’ll be a vital part of our operations support team—ensuring each loan file moves efficiently, accurately, and on schedule through the pipeline. You’ll collaborate closely with loan officers, borrowers, and internal departments to create a seamless loan experience from application to closing. Key Responsibilities

• Loan File Preparation & Pipeline Management
  • Review and process loan applications with accuracy and efficiency using Encompass.
  • Maintain a well‑organized pipeline, updating milestones and tracking progress to ensure every loan closes on time.
  • Order required documents, including VOEs, title, appraisal, survey, and more.
  • Successfully manage and close approximately 25 loan files per month.
  • Troubleshoot issues by partnering with the appropriate internal teams.
• Accuracy, Compliance & Analysis
  • Collect and verify all required borrower information in accordance with lender and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze and calculate borrower ratios to determine loan eligibility.
  • Prepare complete, compliant files for underwriting submission.
• Communication & Relationship Building
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for loan officers, borrowers, and internal departments.
  • Provide proactive updates and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the loan process.
  • Build strong relationships that enhance the borrower experience and support branch success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of residential mortgage or title experience (required).
• Experience with Encompass LOS (highly preferred).
• Active NMLS license is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, relationship‑focused approach.
• High personal productivity, self‑motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
• A belief in the power of homeownership to change lives.
