Role Description

LMI seeks a Military Health Business Process Lead to support a federal program management office in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our Military Health client in support of Warfighter Brain Health programs. The Military Health Business Process Lead serves as the vital link between overarching strategy and practical execution.

  • Evaluate processes, introduce innovative solutions and products, and oversee organizational change.
  • Pinpoint inefficiencies, advocate for improvements, and implement changes to enhance team and project efficiency.
  • Support program execution, management, and timeliness.
  • Lead major initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, mitigate risks, and refine processes to boost organizational performance.

This position can be supported remotely, but preference is to be located in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed project roadmaps that translate organizational strategies into actionable, measurable steps.
  • Support the creation of long-term strategic roadmaps to guide transformations and align subsequent activities with project priorities.
  • Ensure initiatives align with the companyโ€™s vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with teams across Human Centered Design, User Interface/User Experience, Information Technology, product development, clinical operations, and others.
  • Ensure a seamless transition to new processes, systems, or technologies with minimal disruption.
  • Effectively manage stakeholders through consistent communication, cross-departmental alignment, and timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate rollouts of new initiatives, systems, or processes, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Facilitate innovation workshops and training sessions to develop creative solutions for improving military healthcare processes.
  • Analyze current workflows, evaluate inefficiencies and challenges, and utilize data-driven strategies to redesign processes.
  • Gather and map project requirements while incorporating Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Track project performance against established Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collect and analyze feedback to refine processes and support continuous improvement.
  • Support Program Manager in contract execution ensuring project requirements are met on time and to defined standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a government background investigation; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 5 or more years of professional experience in Military Health strategic communications, public relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
  • Experience with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), MHS Genesis, or other military health IT systems.
  • Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and assessing vendor deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading change initiatives.
  • Strong background in preparing executive-level briefings, white papers, and Reports to Congress.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to utilize best practices and implementation strategies to optimize solutions.
  • Proven capability in managing teams, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficient in assessing business needs, analyzing requirements and workflows.
  • Provide Program Management Office (PMO) support by developing and monitoring contract tracking tools.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in fast-paced or complex environments.
  • A flexible mindset to navigate changing priorities, industries, and technologies.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with a focus on overall deliverables and business benefit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), collaboration platforms (SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira/Confluence), and modeling tools (Visio, Power BI, Excel).
  • Creative Problem Solving and Advanced Communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to synthesize information into clear deliverables.
  • Maintain relevant certifications including but not limited to PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CPO), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Business Process Management Professional (BPMP).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within the DHA or other military healthcare entities.
  • Familiarity with military mental health/brain health programs and their policy implications.
  • Knowledge of healthcare-specific project management best practices.
  • Prior experience on government contracts involving program evaluation or organizational change.

Target Salary Range

$130,000-$150,000
