Role Description

Our client is seeking a Mid-Level SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support an enterprise database environment for a federal customer. This position will provide hands-on SQL and database administration support, including:

• Database configuration
• Backup and recovery
• Patching
• Performance tuning
• High Availability
• Disaster Recovery
• Monitoring
• Security
• Automation
• Troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 4+ years of database administration experience
• Hands-on experience with SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, and SQL Scripting
• Demonstrated experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft Access
• Experience creating and managing standalone SQL and Oracle databases
• Experience identifying and troubleshooting database issues
• Experience with server maintenance, software installations, upgrades, and patching
• Experience with High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, and restore processes
• Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, security, automation, and incident management
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across technical teams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Must reside in and perform all work from within the United States
• Must be willing to complete federal background/suitability screening and fingerprinting if required
• Must be available for 8 working hours per day within 7:30 AM–6:00 PM ET
• Must be able to support occasional scheduled after-hours maintenance
• U.S. citizenship

Requirements

• Professional SQL Server/database certification (preferred)
• Current or prior federal background investigation or Public Trust (preferred)
• Federal government or federal contracting experience (preferred)
• Experience with ServiceNow, Idera, SolarWinds, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Datadog, and/or Dynatrace (preferred)
• Experience supporting cloud database environments (preferred)
