Role Description

We ARE seeking experienced MBES Data Processors to support our client on an offshore survey project involving the near real-time processing and quality control of Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) data collected from an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV). You will be responsible for processing, cleaning, validating, and delivering high-quality bathymetric data while supporting continuous 24/7 survey operations within a distributed, multi-time-zone team.

• Process and clean MBES data in near real time using BeamWorx AutoClean
• Apply automated and manual cleaning techniques to ensure data quality and consistency
• Perform quality control, validation, and correction of bathymetric datasets
• Monitor incoming survey data from the USV and identify noise, anomalies, and artefacts
• Optimise processing workflows and adjust parameters according to survey conditions and data quality
• Generate bathymetric grids, point clouds, and other required survey deliverables
• Maintain processing logs and documentation to ensure full traceability
• Communicate data-quality issues to survey and acquisition teams
• Coordinate with other processors across different time zones and ensure effective shift handovers
• Support continuous 24/7 survey operations

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as an MBES / Multibeam Data Processor
• Hands-on experience with BeamWorx AutoClean – mandatory
• Strong experience in bathymetric data cleaning, QC, and validation
• Good understanding of MBES processing workflows, including calibration, cleaning, and corrections
• Experience with relevant hydrographic data formats and deliverables
• USV MBES processing experience is preferred
• Experience with sweeping surveys and/or cable route surveys is an advantage
• Experience working in a remote or distributed processing environment is an advantage
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a 24/7 shift environment, including potential night and weekend shifts

• Shift Pattern: 24/7 operations; 8-hour or 12-hour shifts (TBC)
• Travel: No business travel
