Role Description

This role involves leading and coordinating management consulting projects in the railway and transit sector.

Lead and coordinate one or multiple concurrent management consulting projects and teams.
Ensure on-time, on-budget completion and adherence to scope and quality resulting in the highest level of client satisfaction.
Drive the successful delivery of consulting projects including O&M, stations, revenue generation, and customer experience.
Follow management consulting industry best practices in planning and executing projects.
Help clients improve their business and organizational performance and develop new business strategies.
Contribute to development of bids/proposals, including cost estimates and project plans.
Perform business technology research and quantitative analyses, conduct/coordinate studies and lead workshops.
Leverage the knowledge and expertise of Deutsche Bahn’s railway subject matter experts.
Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure successful project completion.
Delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise; mentor and coach junior team members.

Qualifications

MBA, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in any discipline with demonstrated academic excellence.
Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting.
Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for tackling complex challenges in the mobility and railway transportation sector.
Several years of experience in the rail and transit sector; understanding of O&M, commercial, and customer experience.
Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
Experience in using MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for analyses and developing quantitative models.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Occasional domestic/international travel may be required.

Requirements

Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 hours at a time.
Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day.
Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings.
Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings.
