[Hiring] Manager-Laboratory Systems Support @Intermountain Health

Role Description

The Laboratory Systems Support Manager reports to the Director of Laboratory and Pathology Systems and leads support and technical teams within CTIS, with responsibility for project execution and daily and ongoing support of clinical laboratory systems. This position will coordinate closely with the Director of Laboratory and Pathology Systems, other CTIS leadership, laboratory leadership, and laboratory medical directors in prioritizing projects and support activities according to enterprise and business strategic direction. The manager of this team will work closely with other CTIS teams, Cerner and DXC to ensure support tickets and issues are being properly resolved. This role will require an ability to partner with internal and external teams for issue resolution. This position is fully remote with some expected travel for site visits, leadership meetings & trainings. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM MST with on call availability on nights & weekends.

• Prefer candidates with Epic Beaker Certification & understanding of clinical laboratory workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, clinical or allied health, computer science, information management or other technical field and eight years of experience configuring, supporting, training, and implementing clinical laboratory systems with four years of application experience.

• Master's Degree in business, clinical or allied health, computer science, information management or other technical field and five years of experience configuring, supporting, training, and implementing clinical laboratory systems with four years of application experience.
• - or -
• Ten years of laboratory application or workflow configuration, development and/or support experience working with multiple solutions, processes and environments with a proven ability to direct strategy and operations.
• Experience with multiple technologies, processes and environments with a proven ability to direct strategy and operations.
• Demonstrated effective leadership, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated strong ability to communicate effectively to clinical and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong teams to complete complex projects.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated results orientation, initiative, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
• Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience using word processing, advanced or complex spreadsheet and database applications.
• Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

• ITIL certified
• Experience working in a healthcare or healthcare insurance environment.
• Experience working with healthcare provider enterprise clinical applications, vendors and services.
• Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams, including off-shore and on-shore.
• Project Management experience.
• Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.
• Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
• May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
