Role Description

Position Purpose:

• Provides data storage, backup and data center / large server room related services across the enterprise.
• Oversees enterprise storage and backup, including storage network (SAN) design, engineering and operations.
• Provides full support for the current and future SAN / NAS, backup infrastructure and data center services.
• Leads and supervises activities to plan, design, build, install, and monitor block and NAS storage systems, SAN, cloud storage, backup and recovery, and related technologies.
• Responsible for the security of storage assets.
• Develops a systems security architecture, then directs the implementation and management of security solutions appropriate for that architecture.
• Develops deep understanding in technical domain and demonstrates thought leadership in emerging areas.
• Ensures storage and backup components are operational and performing as designed.
• Oversees an on-call function to provide 24/7 response to critical issues.
• Mentors and develops the infrastructure team in accomplishing operational support duties.
• Ensures all Backup and Relevant Storage Engineering Change, Release, Incident, Problem, Security, and Configuration Management processes, policies, operating plans, and mandates are followed.
• Shares regular reporting on status updates to senior management.
• Collaborates with external parties for IT procurement and vendor related IT issues.
• Works with internal stakeholders (product team, senior management, etc.) which contribute to technical strategy and recommend industry best practices.
• Mentors and guides staff.
• Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance and coaching.
• Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices.
• Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Requirements

• Knowledge of relational database design and architectural principles and methodologies.
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery options.
• VMware, Windows and Linux operating systems, file systems, SQL, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
• Networking, fiber channel concepts and technologies, TCP/IP, DNS.
• Experience with the management and implementation of backup and associated storage designs.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Networker, IBM Storage Protect, Veeam and Veeam for M365, Commvault, or other backup software.

Pay Range

$102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
