Role Description

The Mainframe Support Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and processing database records in mainframe environments supporting EFT and payment-processing operations. The role involves:

• Database maintenance
• Settlement processing
• MTF file maintenance
• Reporting
• Debit card maintenance
• Financial institution conversions and deconversions
• Batch processing

The analyst will ensure:

• Accurate client configuration
• Data integrity
• Successful settlement processing
• Implementation of client changes while following production support and change-management procedures

Qualifications

• IBM Mainframe: Experience with TSO, ISPF, data sets, and batch jobs
• 3270 Terminal Emulator: Ability to access and navigate mainframe systems
• ISPF Navigation: Familiarity with command fields, menus, panels, member lists, messages, and function keys
• Mainframe Environments: Understanding of Development, Testing, and Production environments
• Data Set Knowledge: Understanding of sequential data sets and PDS libraries
• Database Knowledge: Ability to distinguish mainframe data sets from relational database tables
• Production Support: Understanding when to involve application specialists, production control, security administrators, storage teams, and DBAs
• Settlement Operations: Knowledge of settlement processing and balance refreshes
• EFT Processing: Experience with debit card and electronic funds transfer operations
• Financial Institution Conversions: Knowledge of conversion, migration, and deconversion activities
• Change Management: Experience working with ServiceNow change-management processes

Requirements

• Perform production database setup and maintenance for new and existing clients
• Add, update, and delete database records
• Maintain customer configuration records and database files
• Validate data accuracy and ensure error-free database maintenance
• Navigate IBM mainframe systems using TSO and ISPF
• Access and manage data sets, PDS libraries, and members
• Monitor and support batch processing activities
• Identify and troubleshoot basic mainframe processing issues
• Support daily settlement processing activities
• Perform balance refreshes and settlement-related maintenance
• Support debit card and EFT processing operations
• Maintain MTF files and settlement configurations
• Support financial institution conversions and deconversions
• Perform database and configuration updates during client migrations
• Validate client records and ensure successful implementation of changes
• Follow production change-management procedures
• Create and manage ServiceNow change requests
• Coordinate with application, production-control, security, storage, and database teams
• Ensure production changes are completed accurately and within approved timelines
