[Hiring] Lead Systems Analyst @City of Hope

Role Description

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned analysts, including prioritization of work and coordination of resources.
• Review and resolve identified issues, risks, and escalations.
• Report progress, status, and issue escalations to the Application Manager when necessary.
• Coordinate system design, build, testing, training, and go-live activities with other team leads.
• Provide leadership and best practice build standards to the design and development of Connect Hope Epic applications.
• Lead Application Analysts under the direction of the Application Manager.
• Plan and oversee team work activities, including prioritization of work and meeting plans.
• Ensure timely completion of high-quality deliverables, including project plans, design documentation, build audits, testing plans and scripts, training curriculum, and activation plans.
• Actively support operational and project work streams.
• Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with City of Hope governance structure.
• Ensure ticket submissions are complete, thorough, and assigned in a timely manner.
• Escalate non-resolved issues to the Application Manager and across teams as needed.
• Communicate status of work plans for tasks, issues, and risks in a timely manner to the Application Manager and across teams as needed.
• Ensure best practices are followed, including:
  • Activities of one team do not adversely impact activities of another team.
  • Changes are combined when appropriate to avoid duplicate effort.
  • Thorough testing of build is conducted to minimize problems at Go Live.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss team and project-related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates.
• Ensure team decisions are made in a timely fashion.
• Onboard newly hired team members and instruct them on Connect Hope policies/procedures for the Epic System.
• Ensure team adheres to processes.
• Collaborate with other teams within and outside of ConnectHope.
• Perform Application build assignments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.
• 8+ years of experience in systems analysis or 5+ years of healthcare Information Technology experience, including 3 years of Epic build experience.
• One (1) year of leadership/mentorship of a team, task force, project, or assignment, or a combination thereof, demonstrating the understanding of and ability to effectively lead others.
• Relevant Epic Module or newly obtained Epic certification within six months of employment.
• For internal COH candidates, Epic certification shall be obtained within 9 months of transferring into the Epic project.
