Role Description

Join an industry-leading digital platform team as a Lead CDN & Edge Security Engineer, driving the architecture and operational excellence of our global content delivery and edge security solutions. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to shape resilient, high-performance cloud and multi-CDN environments, directly impacting the security and availability of critical applications used by millions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale CDN and edge delivery solutions for global platforms
• Optimize content delivery for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability
• Manage multi-CDN environments and advanced traffic routing strategies
• Configure and support DNS, caching, load balancing, and edge security services
• Develop, refine, and implement Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies and bot mitigation techniques
• Lead DDoS protection strategies and incident response procedures
• Serve as the expert escalation point for complex CDN, DNS, and application security incidents
• Coordinate with internal teams, cloud providers, and vendors during critical incidents
• Analyze telemetry and monitoring data to drive performance and security improvements
• Build observability dashboards and reporting for proactive incident response and trend analysis

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CDN platforms such as Akamai, Cloudflare, or Fastly
• In-depth knowledge of DNS management, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP networking, and security concepts (Layers 3, 4, 7)
• Strong understanding of Web Application Firewalls, DDoS mitigation, and bot management
• Experience supporting production environments and customer-facing applications at scale
• Proven troubleshooting skills in complex networking, routing, and security scenarios
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Multi-CDN architecture management
• Bot management and anti-automation technologies
• Edge security and Zero Trust frameworks
• Infrastructure automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform)
